Motorcycle Load Equalizers & Turn Signal Modules
Stock flasher relays on motorcycles are designed to blink twice as fast as normal when a bulb is burned out to alert the driver of this condition. Leds consume so little power compared to the stock bulbs, that the flasher relay thinks that a bulb is burned out when LEDs are used in place of stock bulbs. If you have replaced your stock turn signals with LEDs and your turns signals flash too fast or do not flash at all, you will need to add a Equalizer, or replace your flasher relay.

Mode 2 : Press turn signal button for 2 seconds, turn signal lights will flash for 20 seconds, then self-cancel. This mode is usually used when slowing down to go around a corner.
Mode 3 : Press turn signal button for 4 seconds, turn signal lights will flash for 75 seconds, then self-cancel. This mode is usually used when stopping at a signal light and turn will be made after stopping.

The SmartFlash is a universal turn signal module designed for motorcycle, motor vehicle and electric cart applications. It is a complete, integrated solution for turn signals, emergency flashers, brake light splitters, brake light modulator and self cancellation. Exclusive to the SmartFlash are integrated replaceable fuses designed to protect your wiring harness and accessories.
The SmartFlash is designed for applications that use the same rear lights for both brake and turn signals. A unique feature of our module includes a brake light splitter with brake light modulation. In this mode, both rear lights are used for turn signals and brake lights. While applying the brakes, both lights will be illuminated and flash in 3 quick bursts. After the three bursts, the brake light will stay on solid. If a turn signal is used while the brakes are applied, the turn signal will have priority. Flashing the corresponding light and leaving the opposite side solid.
Another unique feature of our module is the fuse protection and short tolerant relays. Our module is a full solid state unit with ultra reliable electro-mechanical relay outputs. This hybrid design ensures the unit can endure harsh environment applications and even resist failure from short circuits, overload, abuse, and electrical system malfunctions (see note below). Full solid state units just can not tolerate these conditions without self damage or complete failure.
The SmartFlash is ideal for use with LED lights, incandescent or a combination of both. Our highly stable time base insures a constant flash rate that is independent of the load or the type of lamps used. For protection from moisture and the environment, the SmartFlash is encapsulated using a special epoxy resin. All these features have made this module standard equipment on several high volume OEM applications.
The SmartFlash is available in retail packaging with mating wiring harness, connector, fuse holder, fuse and installation instructions. For large volume customers, we offer several wiring and connection options available to fit your application. Custom labeling and part numbering can also be accommodated. Operation Overview
Hazard Mode: Pressing both Left and Right buttons simultaneous will place the module into hazard flashing mode. In this mode, both the left and right channels flash. THIS MODE IS NOT SELF CANCELING. The hazard mode will continue until one of the buttons are pressed again.
Auto Cancel: Pressing either the left or right button will initiate a turn signal sequence. The corresponding side will flash for a period of 15 seconds. If the brakes are applied while in this mode, the flash will continue until 15 seconds after the brakes are released.
Brake Light Modulation: Appling the brakes will flash the brake lights 3 times in quick bursts. After the 3 bursts, the brake lights will stay on solid until the brakes are released.
Brake Light Splitting: In this mode, both rear lights are used for turn signals and brake lights. While applying the brakes, both lights will be illuminated and flash in 3 quick bursts. After the three bursts, the brake light will stay on solid. If a turn signal is used while the brakes are applied, the turn signal will have priority. Flashing the corresponding light and leaving the opposite side solid.
NEW FEATURE!
Auto Cancel Suspend: The Auto Cancel will suspend whenever the brakes are applied. The left or right turn signal will run indefinitely as long as the brakes are applied. As an example, slowing down or sitting at a stop light the blinker will remain on. Once the brake is released, it will start the auto cancel timer which will cancel the turn signals after the normal 15 second timeout. If brakes are reapplied during that 15 seconds, the turn signals will stay on and the suspense mode will resume, resetting the timer and allowing for another 15 seconds for auto cancel.
