Do you have any other products for my motorcycle?
Yes! Check out our Brake Module. This is a very popular enhancement for motorcycle Signal® mirrors. The module will add a solid brake signal when the brakes are applied, while retaining the turn function for the Signal® mirrors.
Why do I need Signal® mirrors on my motorcycle?
According to the NHTSB, every 84 seconds in the United States there is a lane-change / merging accident. Signal® mirrors are positioned at the eye level of adjacent drivers making them more noticeable than conventional tail lights. In addition, when a turn signal is activated, a flashing chevron appears in the corresponding side mirror to alert drivers in your "blind spot" of your intentions. This signal is also very visible to the rear of the motorcycle.
Is it absolutely necessary to have motorcycle Signal® mirrors installed by a professional? Can I do it myself?
It is not absolutely necessary to have a professional install motorcycle Signal® mirrors, but highly recommended. If you feel that you need professional installation, contact your local dealer or you can call us at 1-800-844-6616.
How detailed are the installation instructions?
All of our motorcycle installation instructions cover three basic areas: factory mirror glass or housing removal, motorcycle Signal Mirror® installation, and motorcycle Signal Mirror® wire routing and splicing.
Can I replace the LEDs if they “burn out”?
While replacement of the LEDs is not possible, remember that we choose to use LEDs because they are extremely durable and long-lasting when compared to regular incandescent bulbs. The lifecycle of our LEDs is rated in several million on/off cycles. In everyday terms, this means that the LEDs will provide many years of trouble-free service.
I have Signal® mirrors and broke one in an accident. Can I just purchase one mirror?
Yes! As with our entire Signal Mirror® line, Typical cost for one mirror will be about ½ of the retail for the whole kit.
Do all of your motorcycle Signal® mirrors have a forward-facing signal?
No. The only kits with a forward-facing signal are our cruiser Signal Mirror® kits part numbers 220-0148-0, 220-0149-0, 200-0070-0, and 200-0138-0. The signal is amber in color and only functions as a turn signal, not a running light.
What are the American (Harley and Indian) and Metric (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc.) cruiser Signal® mirrors made from?
These mirrors are machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and have a high-quality chrome plating. They are described in the article as follows: “Optically, they were excellent, and manufacturing and machining were superb.” No plastic or cast piece here!
What are the dimensions and type of glass for the cruiser motorcycle Signal® mirror available for both American (Harley and Indian) and Metric (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc.) cruisers?
It is a 3" high by 6" wide elongated octagon mirror using "flat" glass. They are NOT convex mirrors, so they will give you a true view of what’s behind you.
What are the dimensions of the Honda GoldWing GL1500 motorcycle Signal® mirror?
It is the same size and has the same convex as the standard chrome or painted factory mirror and replaces the whole mirror housing.
What are the dimensions of the BMW K1200 or Honda Goldwing GL1800 motorcycle Signal® mirror?
These kits are unique because the mirror glass is replaced with a Signal Mirror® assembly. The size of the glass is just like the original mirror glass.
My bike has 4-way flashers (hazards). Will your Signal® mirrors work with them?
Yes. In addition to the normal turn signal function, the Signal® mirrors will also flash when the hazards are activated, provided your motorcycle has 4-way flashers. No additional wiring is necessary for this feature to work.
Do motorcycle Signal® mirrors help eliminate glare?
Yes. All motorcycle Signal® mirrors use our patented coated glass which reduces glare when compared to most chrome glass. The coating reduces the reflection of yellow from the color spectrum, which is what the eye perceives as glare.
How long does it take to install motorcycle Signal® mirrors?
Generally, most installations can be preformed in under an hour!

What type of warranty comes with motorcycle Signal® mirrors?
The motorcycle Signal® mirror is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of sale to original purchaser. This warranty excludes labor, broken glass, or other situations that cause harm to the product after it has been shipped from the factory--such as damage, unreasonable use, modifications, or alterations. In the event of a defect, Muth reserves the right to evaluate the problem through Quality Control and at Muth's discretion, replace the defective product. . Warranty covers replacement cost of product only.
