For its sensing mechanism, the SR-i500/SR-i300 utilizes a built in Analog Devices ADXL202 accelerometer. Derived from the air bag industry, this dual-axis digital sensing microprocessor measures both dynamic acceleration (e.g., vibration) and static acceleration (e.g., gravity) with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. It integrates microscopic silicon parts and sophisticated signal conditioning to produce a complete two-axis accelerometer on a single IC. This onboard sensor allows the control module to be placed in any position or mounting angle and requires no adjustments.

All the SR-i500 features are packed into one compact unit about the size of a small cell phone (3 ½ x 2 ½ x ¾ ). The miniature control model also offers a built-in 125dB multi-tone siren with advanced programming features such as selectable siren tones as well as trigger duration. To insure durability, the SR-i500 is manufactured to meet OEM specs and utilizes waterproof connectors and a triple layer circuit board design that contains no mechanical or moving parts. A patented polyurethane encapsulating process ensures that the module is hermetically sealed and is guaranteed to withstand severe vibrations, extreme heat, and high water pressure. By utilizing High Frequency FM technology, the SR-i500 transceiver is capable of sending and receiving commands from up to ½ Mile away from the motorcycle. It incorporates a selectable audible vibrating alert and a back lit LCD screen that displays alarm triggers and confirms system modes with easy to understand icons and text messages. This unique FM technology provides exceptional range and excellent penetration, even in those difficult areas such as shopping malls and underground parking garages.
