This is an integrated tail light retrofit for the stock 2006 - 2008 YZF-R6 tail light. All the internals of the stock tail light unit are replaced with a Custom LED circuit board containing 32 Ultra Bright Red LEDs and 42 Ultra Bright Yellow LEDs - compared to only 24 red LEDs on the stock circuit board!
The Custom LED 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6 Integrated LED Tail Light marks the introduction of our Blaster-XÔ technology into our integrated LED tail lights. This technology squeezes the maximum possible luminance power out of LEDs. The result is an even more outstanding and effective product than it's predecessors, and widens our advantage over our competitors. It also allows us to utilize less LEDs, thereby maintaining the factory light distribution which was previously not possible.
Just as on the other Custom LED models, the system is designed so that the red LEDs turn off (on one side) when the yellow comes on so that the turn indication is a pure yellow light. The unit automatically flashes between the red and yellow on the side you're turning! The Yellow LEDs are slightly offset as well, creating a dramatic attention grabbing effect.
