This Custom LED unit fits the Yamaha R6S 06-09 models and
the Yamaha R6 03-05 models. This is an integrated LED tail light COMPLETE
PLUG N PLAY unit. Comes pre-wired with the OEM plug harness and
installed into a ULTRA smooth new Custom LED tail light housing (the clarity
of the lenses on the plug and play units is INSANE!). This enclosed tail
light housing comes with a Custom LED circuit board inside containing 32
Ultra Bright Red LEDs and 42 Ultra Bright Yellow LEDs - compared to only 24
red LEDs on the stock circuit board and NO MORE INSTALLING at HOME!
The Custom LED Yamaha YZF-R6S / YZF-R6 Integrated LED Tail Light marks the introduction of our Blaster-X technology into our integrated LED tail lights. This technology squeezes the maximum possible illumination power out of LEDs. The result is a significantly less expensive, yet even more outstanding and effective product than it''s predecessors - and widens our advantage over our competitors. It also allows us to utilize less LEDs, thereby maintaining the factory light distribution which was previously not possible. Just as on the other Custom LED models, the system is designed so that the red LEDs turn off (on one side) when the yellow comes on so that the turn indication is a pure yellow light. The Custom LED 2003 - 2007 R6 Integrated Tail is designed with the 54 red LEDs as dual intensity for running light and brake light. The 42 yellow LEDs (21 each side) come on for turns only. The system is designed so that the red LEDs turn off (on one side) when the yellow comes on so that the turn indication is a pure yellow light. The unit automatically flashes between the red and yellow on the side you're turning! The Yellow LEDs are slightly offset to the side you're turning as well, creating an animated effect actually pointing to the direction you're turning.
